What is Patient Access?
With Patient Access, you can now view, book and cancel appointments from home, work or on the move – wherever you can connect to the internet. What’s more, because Patient Access is a 24 hour online service – you can do this in your own time, day or night.
Plus, Patient Access is not just for booking GP appointments, you can also order repeat prescriptions
To register, ask reception to provide you with an access code.
Is my information secure?
All information that is sent to your surgery via EMIS Access is secure. Your personal details are encrypted and protected using the highest standard internet security, so it cannot be intercepted. Only you and your GP surgery are able to see this information
We now offer online patient access to the coded data in patient’s health records. This includes allergies, medications, test results, immunisations, problems and codes used in consultations.
Access will be assessed and enabled on a case by case basis. If you would like to request online access to your record please ask reception for a form and information leaflet. Alternatively click on the links below to read the leaflet and print and complete the request form which can then be handed to reception.
In order to receive a registration form and to gain access to your medical record you will need to provide two forms of identification one of which must be photographic and another showing your address (i.e a utility bill).
